Compatibility

We spend our whole lives looking from person to person searching for someone that we have many things in common. This past year I spent about 8 months living with a group that God put together. Now some of my best friends I couldn't tell you what we have in common. All that we know is that we love each other and care for one another so what does the rest really matter when you can learn to put aside everyone's faults and things that bother you and love them anyway? Why do we spend so much time dwelling on the things that we have in common and say when a marriage ends "we just didn't have anything in common anymore"? That is just a cop out. I have seen that commonality doesn't seem to matter. Maybe I am missing the point and that relationship relationships are different. I still believe that God has chosen one person for us to spend the rest of our lives together so that isn't what I am getting at. Its more like what if we miss that one person because we find that we have nothing in common with them. Love should conquer all!
